Providing safe drinking water to all is one of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.g (Global Goals oder Sustainable Development Goals 6).
Especially in times of advancing global warming, we are stepping up our efforts to enforce the basic right to water for ALL worldwide.
Thanks to our generous private donors, foundations and businesses, we have already been able to significantly improve the quality of life for over 42,000 beneficiaries in nine countries in West Africa!
In many regions of our world, access to healthcare facilities, education and income are extremely low. One cause of this is a severe lack of fresh water sources, which in turn leads to a deficit in sustainable development.
No water, no life and without water, no development can take place.
In rural areas without a secure water supply, people must obtain water from makeshift water points or dirty, often contaminated surface water. The consequences include disease, poor hygiene, especially for women and girls, and irregular school attendance.
With the construction of modern wells and solar-powered facilities, we are providing access to drinking water essential for survival and improving not only health and education, but also cultivation opportunities and yields from small-scale farming activities.
