The YOU Foundation Helps Ukrainian War Refugees in Moldova – Please Help, too!
A large number of refugees who fled war, bombs and violence in Ukraine have arrived in neighboring Moldova seeking shelter. Within in two weeks, about 3.5 million people have left the Ukraine where thousands of deaths are recorded every day. The refugees have taken with them only the most necessary of items and are dependent on the help of local people and international aid organizations. Those arriving in Moldova are often women with children or elderly people who need immediate assistance.
Ukraine is burning…
We are stunned by the aggression…
but we are not speechless, we say„WE HELP!“
The Republic of Moldova / Moldova is one of the first contact points for war refugees from Ukraine and has already received over 100,000 traumatized women and children in the last few days.
Despite being one of the poorest countries in Europe, President Maia Sandu opened Moldova’s borders and its residents their hearts. The poor farmers on the border, who can hardly make ends meet themselves, provided the refugees with basic food. In addition, the government, together with the residents of Moldova, immediately initiated the construction of provisional reception camps in Palanca and Ocnița.
As a non-profit organization, we have been supporting the people of Moldova for over 10 years. Especially in unbelievable situations like these, we MUST stand together in solidarity and support our fellow European citizens!
Drinking water, shelter, food, hygiene items, medical aid and heating material are most urgently needed!
Please HELP us to HELP!

Moldavia: Achievements thanks to Christmas Initiative
At the end of 2017, many readers of the newspaper in Recklinghausen donated money to the children and youth of Moldavia who live in poverty. Very few of these children can attend school. With the help of these generous donations, several new projects could be supported, and the young boy Nikita literally now has the world at his feet.
