Acute Emergency Aid in Israel and Gaza

Acute Emergency Aid in Israel and Gaza

Middle East - Acute Emergency Aid in Israel and Gaza

Hundreds of Israelis were killed in the terrorist attacks by the militant Islamist group Hamas on October 7, 2023.

To date, the number of dead is estimated at 1,200. Many more people, including children and infants, are still missing or have been abducted and are being held hostage.

However, the suffering of the civilian population is immense on both sides, in Israel and in the Gaza Strip.

With the Israeli response to destroy Hamas, the already poor humanitarian circumstances in Gaza have been plunged civilians, especially children, into a catastrophic situation.

With this “Middle East” appeal, the YOU Foundation will therefore use the incoming donations for urgent acute emergency aid in Israel and Gaza, for the children of both countries!

In particular, this includes essential food, baby food and drinking water as well as clothing and temporary accommodation for families. The main focus in Gaza is on the distribution of medical supplies and medicines for hospitals.

Every donation is welcome:

Update “Acute Emergency Aid” as of January 8, 2024:

According to the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung (FAZ) newspaper and information from the Hamas-controlled health authority, around 22,000 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip so far. Three months after the start of the war between Israel and the radical Islamist Hamas, sheer horror reigns there, according to the FAZ. The conditions are particularly traumatic for the children. “No food, no water, no school, just the terrible sounds of war, day after day.” Even hospitals, where people desperately seeking protection and gather, are repeatedly attacked, and destroyed. “Gaza has become a place of death and despair,” said Martin Griffiths, head of the UN emergency aid office OCHA, on Friday, January 5, 2024.
The YOU Foundation – Education for Children in Need, an initiative of UNESCO Special Envoy Dr. h.c. Ute-Henriette Ohoven, is committed to education for the poorest of the poor worldwide.
