The innovative video-based training application for teachers in West Africa was designed to advance quality teaching in line with the Sustainable Development Goal (Global Goals or SDGs) – Goal #4, and to foster equal opportunities for all. Unqualified teachers are unable to prepare our children for their future and for sustainable development, nor can they prepare our children for the quality education that is urgently needed today or for good career opportunities and especially not for equal opportunities.

Health and Dignity for Mothers and Children – Health Station FAI Senegal
The project “Expansion of the Médina Chérif Health Station” (Kolda community in Senegal) serves to support several broadly defined health programs.
The health station’s purpose is to serve the rural community of Médina Chérif and to help lower mother and child mortality, to prevent infectious diseases and to generally improve the very important access to health care for its citizens.
Up until now, the community’s medical set up – with its very minimal resources – was unable to adequately accommodate pregnant women. The result was a high mother-infant mortality rate. Since the construction of the health station, the medical treatment available has greatly improved and the number of patients in the FAI maternity ward has increased by 1,670 women.
Emergency aid Ethiopia – The great starvation in front of the worlds’ eyes!
As in every conflict, the poorest of the poor are the ones who suffer, without even knowing why war is taking place. According to the latest reports from the UN’s World Food Programme (WFP) on 26 November 2021, 9.4 million people in northern Ethiopia are now dependent on food aid and more than 400.000 people are at acute risk of starvation.
In the Tigray region in northern Ethiopia, devastating armed conflicts have led to an enormous socio-economic crisis. Cut-off transport routes exacerbate supply problems, the ongoing locust plague in large parts of East Africa and the Covid pandemic add to this.
