The volunteer of the project “BARAKA – From slum to modern city district”, Martina Dähn, is involved in the elementary school of the new city district Cité-Baraka (New-Baraka) for hygiene and environmental management (PHAST – Participatory Hygiene And Sanitation Transformation) At the children’s request, Martina Dähn now gives German courses for all interested primary school students. The program is a complete success and the kids are thrilled!
The child’s curiosity forms the basis of the entire learning process, and what is learned strengthens self-confidence. The opportunity to learn a foreign language can also enable better career opportunities in the long term. In order to further motivate the children, the handover ceremony for the first certificates of the German course took place on July 8th, 2021.
The joy in the children’s faces cannot be overlooked.
THANK YOU Martina Dähn!
