The goal of this educational and sports project is to strengthen digital learning, promote sports and social participation in a disadvantaged region. Despite delays, the infrastructure, buildings, IT, and a multi-purpose sports field were successfully completed, and a sustainable local support structure was established. Through these combined, ongoing measures, the project reduced the digital divide between urban and rural populations and offered sports activities for boys and girls to promote teamwork, fairness, and gender equality. The project also improved academic performance, developed participants’ character, increased engagement, and strengthened mental health.

Hosting awareness-raising and stakeholder meetings

Establishing an IT room and a custodial area
Procuring sports equipment and seating for spectators
Organizing soccer and basketball tournaments
Training players and establishing of sports committee
Formally establishing a management committee

Acquired 148 pieces of sports equipment and 50 spectator seats
Successfully held tournaments
Trained youths in sports
Expanded target group to up to 5,000 students
Established sustainable local management structure
