According to data in reports concerning street children, 2,500 children and adolescents over 12 years old live on the streets – for a variety of reasons – each year in Germany. Approximately 300 of them will become homeless children who live on the streets having fled neglect and abuse and will be forced to survive by begging, prostitution or theft.<\/p>\n

\"ORK_Hamburg_4987\"<\/a>The Foundation supports a national street children program with Streetwork stations in Berlin, Dortmund, Hamburg and K\u00f6ln.\u00a0Through the program, social workers were able to\u00a0save 377 children from homelessness and provide them with a\u00a0hopeful perspective on life.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
