Early childhood development is the first and most important step on the path to primary school completion.<\/p>\n<p>Learning begins at birth and develops in response to comprehensive environmental factors. Both learning content and learning behaviors are influenced by the immediate environment of a child\u2019s family, home, and community. In our target area, the\u00a0<strong>streets and slums of Bangladesh<\/strong>, this is extremely vulnerable. A good, child-friendly learning environment is therefore essential.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section elementor-element elementor-element-e23e68a elementor-section-boxed elementor-section-height-default elementor-section-height-default\" data-id=\"e23e68a\" data-element_type=\"section\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-container elementor-column-gap-default\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-column elementor-col-100 elementor-top-column elementor-element elementor-element-0edcc5c\" data-id=\"0edcc5c\" data-element_type=\"column\">\n\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-wrap elementor-element-populated\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-fcded02 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"fcded02\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>To date, we have been able to accomplish the following for this project ECD project:<\/li>\n<li>\u00a0Established four new Early Childhood Development (ECD) units. Of these, three are located in Dhaka district and one in Chottogram district.<\/li>\n<li>100 preschool children aged 4-6 years are already enrolled at the four ECD sites and enrollment of more children is underway.<br \/>\n300 children have been enrolled in primary education (6 \u2013 12 years).<\/li>\n<li>Required, quality textbooks have been provided.<\/li>\n<li>Workshops are being held with parents to discuss children\u2019s participation in classes and how to protect children from risky and dangerous work and exploitation.<\/li>\n<li>Cooked and healthy food to reduce hunger is provided.<\/li>\n<li>School materials, toys, puzzles and school uniforms for 400 children were distributed.<br \/>\nPsychosocial care for in need children is part of the project.<\/li>\n<li>Extracurricular activities are organized.<br \/>\nWinter clothes were distributed to 300 of the most in need children.<\/li>\n<li>Orientation sessions on children\u2019s rights and protection of marginalized children were conducted in different areas.<\/li>\n<li>An attractive, quality curriculum and child-friendly materials are in place.<\/li>\n<li>Sick students are examined and provided with necessary medication.<br \/>\nParents are taught the importance of early childhood development, healthy nutrition and additional support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
