More than 52,000 people fell victim to the deadly\u00a0earthquakes in Turkey and Syria<\/strong>, one of the worst natural disasters in the world in the last hundred years. \u00a0More than one hundred thousand people were injured. Icy cold weather and severe flooding\u00a0 worsened the situation for the suffering people, especially the children.<\/p>

With experienced partner organizations that have been working in disaster areas for many years, the\u00a0YOU Foundation \u2013 Education for Children in Need<\/strong>\u00a0has developed programs that provide local support to families whose homes have been destroyed and who have experienced much suffering.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

\u2022\u00a0Mobile learning container \u201cFirefly\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0\u2013 offering educational, sports and cultural activities for children. Professional care staff, psychosocial support, learning opportunities and educational materials are already available.<\/p>

\u2022\u00a0Bicycles\u00a0<\/strong>for children: The programme in the city of Hatay, in the south-east of Turkey, is an important milestone for the children to be mobile and also to be able to \u201cbe a child\u201d.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
